MEDICATION POLICY

Hope 2 Freedom Recovery Homes (H2F) maintains strict policies regarding medication to ensure the safety, accountability, and sobriety of all residents and visitors. These policies are in place to protect the integrity of each resident’s recovery and to maintain a safe, drug free environment. Medication Disclosure and Approval                                                                                                                                                    All medications, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, must be discussed during the phone screening and intake process.                                                                                                                                      Residents are not permitted to possess or take any medication that may be abused or interfere with recovery unless it has been explicitly approved by the Hope 2 Freedom leadership team.                                                                                                                                                                    Some medications are known to interfere with drug screening (UA) results; therefore, Hope 2 Freedom will not compromise its policies and procedures. All medications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and leadership may consult with the resident’s provider before approval.  Residents must notify their peer leader and recovery homeowner within two (2) hours of receiving any new prescription.
